Please help MY SAMGUNG TV IS BLINKING it says on youtube to cut a JP854 METAL INSIDE THE TV BUT MINE ONLY GOES UP TO JP844

Sounds like you have LED backlights that are going bad and the strips need replacing, its not a real easy job but if you watch some youtube vids they show how to do it.

if the board does not have jp854 top left of the power board 2 inch down it's not the same power board as the quick fix. also it's not really a quick fix, you need to replace the voltage regulator on the heat disperser, right pin on the 3 pins is the controller for the voltage when the chip wares out it cannot regulate the correct voltage so the voltage goes up and down causing the flicker, on the quick fix its just cutting this connection off so the regulator is working at no adjustable voltage.

Try a reset to this set, and check. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Is this a Samsung tv? Mine did this and I had to upgrade the capacitors in mine. It costs less than $10 and takes about an hour. There are how to. Hope this helps videos on youtube

Pull the back off the tv. Look at the power supply. Find jumper designated JP854 on power supply. Take a pair of wire snips and cut that jumper out of the circuit. Put the tv back together. That's it.

How many times is that light blinking? For example a 7 blink error code would blink 7 times pause 7 times etc. What is your's blinking?

PULL OUT LAMP - FIND THE INSTRUCTION ON LINE (SONY WEBSITE OR YOUTUBE) EASY

THERE ARE TWO METAL CONNECTION TABS (on top of the lamp) ON THE LAMP. CLEAN THESE TWO METAL FLAT TABS. THESE two tabs MAKE CONNECTION TO THE THERMAL FUSE. IF IT IS DIRTY IT WILL NOT MAKE CONNECTION to the fuse.
CLEAN YOU'RE LAMP WITH A VACUUM. GET ALL DUST OUT.. CLEAN OUT THE TV...THE FAN SUCKS IN DIRT. THIS WILL FIX many ISSUEs. like over heating! dog hair, dust, gets sucked inside the TV by the FAN....hmmmm

ALSO DO THIS TO ALL YOU'RE ELECTRONICS THAT HAS A FAN.

(I FEEL ALL FANS ON ELECTRONICS SHOULD BE REVERSED) but i am sure there is a stupid reason that they want the fan to **** air inside the electronics. Like hmm
