Galaxy 25.4 cu. ft. Side-By-Side Refrigerator with Filtered Ice and Water

Ice maker is posessed (by 3 users)

posted by tk1991 on Nov 18, 2007

The ice maker quit producing ice. I removed it to find the “head unit” filled with ice and frozen up. Thawed it good, blew it out (over two days). While reinstalling it water would come out the fill tube AND the dispenser on the door. Found ice in the terminals, hair dried them, reinstalled. Still no ice and when getting water out of the door water dispenses out the fill tube.
I have the same problem.

Icemaker not filling with water but water dispenser working fine. Tried moving wire to on/off position many times but not helping . Can see water in feed tube 1/2 " from shute but not moving.
How can I check to see if water is frozen right before shute?
