Question about Goodman GMS90703BXA Heater
I recently purchased a home with 2 tempstar 5000 gas furnace/air handlers. When I slide up the bottom panel next to the blower, on the left side, sitting on the bottom of the unit I see an air filter. However it is just sitting there with nothing holding in position. Is there a way to fix this or is the filter not in the correct place
Pilot light the furnace but it cuts out off after 1 minute and the blower keep running and keep on and off what can I do to fix it

There should have been a filter rack installed on the unit by installer or a support inside the unit are or if this unit is in the atttic the filter might not be used but instead there maybe filters in your ceilings the filter registers

The main thing is to make sure no air is escaping around the filter you could always use something like a brick to keep it in place or bend a coastr hanger to hold it just make sure nothing hits the blower wheel
there are also a lot of high efficiency air cleaners that you can install in your system which is a yearly filter and has its own housing to hold the filters these filtrate a lot better than those 1" filters
