The menu went from English to Russian. How do I change it back?

learn russian or use google translate as I have done below on what the options might look like in Russian

LOOK FOR

Follow these steps to change your language to English: 1. Go to menu on your phone. 2. then move to settings. 3. Under settings you will see language settings. 4. pick the language you want under language settings. You are back to English. I hope that helps. Good luck.

Hi, though the language is in russian you can change that into english, if you are familiar with Windows 7, please figure out the control panel menu, then inside the control panel find the icon for regional and laguage options. it has a globe icon.Tick the "language" tab menu, then the "details", and last "add" the new language.

Please include make and model of your set. This will help in diagnosing your problem.
You will need to get into the user menu to languages, and change it back to english.

Press the MENU button. If the menu is showing icons, select the waving flag. If it's showing text, select the eleventh item. Either way, you should then see "English" as a choice.

I just bought an NEC FS-5160 from a local opportunity store last Friday (July 2, 2010) with the same problem. After a few minutes of fiddling I found the solution:

1. Press 'Menu' button. You will see 'Menu' written in Russian. To the right you will see a number '1' above the the word 'TV' or 'Video'. This is 'Menu 1' or screen 1.

2. Press ONLY the 'Menu' button and the arrow on the left will scroll down. On the fourth press the '1' referred to above will change to a '2' for 'Menu 2' or screen 2.

3. Continue to slowly press the 'Menu' button until 'Memu 3' or screen 3 appears.

4. Press the 'Menu' button twice more and then use the first channel changing button to change the language from Russian to English.

can you tell us which language does it changed it to. and also
if u know that language go to <setings ;language > and change it to english.

Did you buy the system used? If you did, then it looks like the owner before you changed the language for their use & it will remain that way until you go back to the menu & change it to english. (I know, I'm kinda stating the obvious, but just in case..) All you have to do is go all the way over, 2nd to the left of the menu (it would be the Settings column in english, next to where you log in--Настройки in russian ). It will say Настройки системы, about the 6th one down..click on that & it will already be on the selection you need to make ( Язык системы). It will be on Russian (says it in russian)..just click on it & you will see the long list of languages. Move the list up until you see the language you can read & set it! ) Hope that helps!

But if it doesn't work the only way you can change the language from Russian to English is by reinstalling the Operating System in English version. In that way, you can change  and reset the language from Russian to English.
