Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer
While both machines were operating a loose connection in the breaker panel caused an over voltage. The ceiling light on the same circuit would go alternately normal then bright then back again. At one point the control panels on each machine flashed PF before they went dead. The wiring has since been repaired, is there a reset procedure, fuse, circuit breaker, something I can do in the machine to restore operation?
I am afraid there is no breaker or fuse inside the machines that will cause the control panels to go dead. You can check your power to the boards at L1 and neutral. If you have the proper voltage here but controls are dead, you will have to replace the control boards.
I notice in your problem heading it stops at the word except. Except what?

Hello George Schultz - Squeaking noise is usually caused by a problem with the belt, front and/or rear bearing, or a loose connection with the motor/drum. Since you have previously replaced the heating element and thermostat, but the issue continues try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes. If it proves to be ineffective, I recommend contacting a professional to accurately diagnose the unit, the part(s) may have to be replace depending if they are worn, damaged, or loose.
