There are sensors in printers that track the paper on its way through. If you print a lot of material there could be enough paper dust built up on one of the sensors to read as a paper jam. Other possible issues could be a small scrap of paper stuck in the track or a wrinkled piece of paper in the tray that won't pick up.

Yes it is possible that the printer is dirty and or their was a paper jam and the paper remove, but it is possible that their is still a piece left, try remove the ink, there is an opener at the back, try open and clean with tissue paper or cotton wool. thanks

Why are the Power, Paper Feed, and Ink Out lights blinking?

More than likely a paper jam. But here is deal these kind of printers are very cheap in coast and they are everywhere. I just pick one up at a yard sale for 5 dollars and it works and is also wireless. It is kind of sad that printers are so cheaply made. If you really want to try and fix this the most common problem that I have found with them is paper jams. Look for a tiny piece of paper around the rollers.

PRINTER IS JAMMED SHOWING ERROR

I had a similar problem, my printer was chewing the paper and then I was getting a jammed paper message. I looked inside but couldn't see much anything. I then removed (unscrewed) all the panels, and next I know, a culprit materialized, in other words, something fell inside the printer. I then managed to put it all back together, ended up with a few extra screws, but heck it works like a clockwork. God bless screwdrivers with magnetic tips, they made my life so easier.

I have checked everywhere but it still says paper jam

Look real close with a small flashlight over and over. Believe me, paper has ways to hide in the smallest of places. Also make sure the sensors are clean using a lint free cloth

Paper jam for no reason

Get a can of compressed air and blow it out everywhere you can. There might be a scrap of paper causing the jam. Otherwise, that's a really old printer, and it might need more expensive repairs than it's worth.

Flashing Light

Hopefully just has a jam. Usually people miss them under the process unit (toner) or behind the paper tray. Pull all the way out and look. If you have really looked everywhere you probably have a sensor out of place or dirty.
from manual-- Attention - Flashing  A paper jam has occurred. The cassette is not inserted properly or the paper has run out.
also read page 22-27 in your manual for jam removal
