I have a Hp Pavillion a6650F. Recently the top fan in the back sometimes whirres. Is there anyway I can adjust it or lube it> Or what should I do to fix this?

There are multiple things that can cause this, I'll briefly describe them and solutions.
  • It could be having issues spinning, causing a forced spinning whirring sound. This is most often caused by dust and can be fixed by buying some compressed air computer duster.
  • It could be overheating, many laptops have this issue. When a computer heats up, the BIOS tells the computer to increase fan power, causing a more noticeable fan whirr. This can be changed in BIOS settings, but I do not suggest it, or you can buy an under the laptop fan to help cool down the laptop.
  • It could be breaking, in which case buy an under the laptop fan to prolong your laptops life, however if this is the case your laptop may only have a year or two left and I suggest you start making regular backups of important files.

This is a typical hard drive failure scenario, please check if your computer has valid contract if so get your hard drive replaced.

If you have valuable data in your hard drive and willing to spend you can go for hard driver data recovery which is an expensive process.

My laptop (sony vaio VGN-CS325J) fan makes a horrible noise

Hi kufreudokang,

The VGN-CS1xx, VGN-CS2xx, VGN-CS3xx computer models have a known issue that the cooling fan in the Computer may make continuous scraping, whirring, chriping and/or clicking noise while running. As a part of Sony's commitment to quality, Sony provides a free repair for an additional 36 months beyond the standard limited 12 month warranty (48 months total) for fan replacement.

As you're experiencing the issue, you can contact Sony Support at 1-888-476-6972 to set up a repair service at our Sony repair facility.
Hope this helps.

Please post back if you require further assistance.

I have spark but the engine dont turn on

If you can hear the fuel pump run when you turn your key to the on position. Then your fuel pump is alright. it makes a whirring noise for a couple of seconds. If not , then it is the fuel pump or the relay. But if it whirrs , it is not the fuel pump or relay but something else.

My subvoofer burs

Induced noise - running signal wire too close to electrical cables.

Faulty/damaged Input reciever (jack) on subwoofer - test by isolating PC, and attaching iPod or other device to check for noise instead.

If the noise is not present when using the isolated source, your sound card output jack is bad, or the soundcard itself.
