When you unstuck the pedal, did you also go inside to unstick the contacts (switch). This happens sometimes for lack of use. You may need to replace the contact, but you will see when you get in there. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

How can i make the machine sew slower

The foot pedal is usually a controller. The harder you press it, the faster it will sew. Try just barely pressing on it. There is a reostat in the ciruit. It should go slower if you press the pedal lightly.

Foot pedal dead, machine keeps sewing!

There is no suppressor in the foot control of a 425. Only the control unit, which may need to be replaced. If the machine accelerates to full speed, it may have a problem with the "stop right" board which tells the machine whether to stop with the needle up.
You could have several problems, so go see a qualified Husqvarna repairman. You may contact Husqvarna customer service to locate the best one in your area.
