my laptop doesn't open when i try to push the on button i'm suspecting it's due to a virus... can i still open it? can ii sstill recover my files?help!

it is basically a hardware problem since your hardware(laptop) didn't respond when you turn it on. Are you running on battery mode or AC mode? if you're on battery mode try to check your battery it may be fully drained. Try to switch to AC mode by plugging into your AC adaptor/battery charger and see if it works.
