resons why the hp DC5100 desktop will not start up when pressing the power button. I press the power button but none of the led's light up and the desktop doesn't start up. There is no fan noise either. Can anyone help me?
The first you need to do is remove the power cable to your Motherboard and back it again. If doesn't work , replace power supply, still not, replace motherboard

My Presario 8000T turned off by itself the other day, no changes where made to hardware or software. This computer has been working with no problems for the last several years. I swapped the power supply with the exact make and model. Here's whats happening: When I plug the computer in, the light on the power supply is green and steady. When I turn on the computer; the power comes on, the fans spins, lights are all green and then it just turns itself off. The whole process takes about 1 second. I then need to unplug the power and wait for the suppley to blink green once then I can plug it back in with a steady green light. I have replaced the cmos battery, unplugged everything but the system board and tried to turn on, reseated the RAM, all without luck. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
