SOURCE: How do you change the dust bag on the Nilfisk King...

Press the middle rectangular Nilfisk button in the top centre of the machine. The front cover will fold down. There is a greay retaining bracket which clips forward off the top of the old bag. Fold that forward, replace the bag, clip the holder back on, and then close the lid.

Cable will not retract

If you are having problems with a NIlfisk King cord reel it will either be that the cord is simply dislodged or the retract could be faulty. I have made a video showing how to pull it apart which could be used as a reference to diagnose the issue.
If you need a new retract we have these available online as well, the part number is 22352606 Nilfisk King Cord Rewind

My Nilfisk King 505 vacuum has decided not to go all of a sudden, was working fine, and now wont, could it be the start button has worn out?

Just had the same problem with mine. I am thinking the on/off switch too, but it could be motor related.
