My trailer has been stored for 3 years.i can get the fridge to work, propane lit and 12v battery is not recharging

It shouldn't do unless the controlling software is faulty. There should be a diode that only lets electricity flow from the solar panel to the battery in sunlight, but shouldn't allow electricity to flow back to the solar panel at night.

Batteries should last 4 to 6 years if they are looked after, and during the winter months, they should be on a battery minder to keep them trickle charged.

Any electrical items in the trailer tent like fridges, microwaves, televisions, heaters, AC etc, may be drawing some power when not in use either by design (standby) or by error (parasitic draw).

When trying to start the refrigerator on propane, you should hear a clicking noise trying to light the burner for the propane. There is a 12 volt cut off valve that controls the propane to create ignition.. see if there is 12V at the gas switch...also...crack the line to make sure you have gas there. You will smell it...just don't light any cigarettes...while teasting? GOOD LUCK. More then likely the board if not working. YOU can buy them on ebay and amazon....so don't go to the dealer and get ripped.

I go with the converter solution IF you have controls set properly. I have use a 12V trickle charger (relatively inexpensive) to verify and supplement a weak inverter. Since you said your hook to AC you have power for the trickle charger.

If your battery is getting hot, there's a chance it may be needing to get replaced. If you wait too long, the case can crack and leak battery acid. Worst case scenario, it can explode causing more issues and damage. Remove the battery and take it to a local auto parts store to get checked. If it is bad, you already have the battery there to get an exact size and style needed without having to worry about the core charge.

The RV fridge with get power either by: 1. 120VAC power plug or 2. 12VDC with propane. Some modes will have an automatic switch of AC power goes out. Make sure you keep propane on hand as well.

You have new charged batteries? Then my guess you have a 12V cut off switch somewhere like I have in my camper, or a fuse blown in your panel. If you are getting 12V accessories working when you are plugged in, it is not the inverter.

Speaking from over 15 years of RV experience (including 7 years of professionally delivering them from factories), truthfully, you should avoid the 12 volt function on an RV absorption type fridge. The dirty little secret RV dealers never tell you is the 12 volt function on a 3 way fridge, is not a useful option and more of sales feature. They draw a LOT of power so if you forget to switch to propane or shore power when arriving at the campsite, you will kill the house battery in no time. If you are stopped for any length of time and still hooked to the tow vehicle, you may also kill your tow vehicle battery too. And if your tow vehicle 12 volt power supply wire is not functioning properly, you will kill the house battery, while travelling. A much better solution is to pre-cool the fridge at home before departing, by connecting to the house power overnight. Put some freezer packs in the freezer compartment and they will keep the fridge cold. I know this does not answer your question, but trust me, this is the best route. Happy RVing!

Yes water can do compensation build up in your propane tank. Some tanks have a drain pit on bottom reclaim propane and open the pit. If your does reclaim the propane and drain tank. If not reclaim propane and remove tank then remove filler valve turn tank over drain access water leave tank up side down over night. Put fill valve back on and mount tank. After lines are back on turn stove on leave on for 48 hours. Turn valves off and refill tank. Best of luck.

Check your propane tank to ensure you have propane in the tank, next make sure the regulator did not lock up. Also make sure you have plenty of 12v power as the furnace runs on 12v power only.
