Canon i9100 flashing orange and yellow

My Canon i9100 flashes orange and green for 11 times and then holds on green for about 1 second and then starts the orange green cycle again.

My Canon i9100 flashes orange and then green eleven (11) times before a brief pause and then it starts flashing again. Nothing on the printer moves before or after this and holding the resume button and restarting does nothing.

Printer still doesn't work. I guess it needs servicing which was my initial thoughts anyway. BTW: there is no display on my i9100, just two buttons and 1 light.

For general printer reset:

  1. Turn off Canon i9100 Printer
  2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
  3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
  4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
  5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
  6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
  7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
  8. Your printer should respond as normal.
If not, clean print nozzles with Windex

If still a problem, your print heads may need replacement or your printer may need to be serviced (especially if there is a Service Error message).

Hope this helps.

    Hi.

If you followed steps 1 through 8 with no change, or step #5 did not occur, try cleaning the nozzles or replacing the print heads as noted. Any messages on display ?? So, if it still doesn't work, your printer would need servicing.

Hi,

The printer has a built-in waste ink tank for the ink used during print head cleaning. Flashing light indicates that the waste ink tank is nearly full. Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to cancel the error so you can continue printing. Before the waste ink tank becomes completely full, get the waste ink tank replaced.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

I have a Cannon i560 printer and the light on printer flashes five times orange then flashes green, what is the problem and how can I fix it.

5 flashes indicates a faulty printhead or possibly a problem with the p/head contacts. Try removing the head which is easier if you take the cartridges out first(no tools required) and re-seat it having checked the contacts for dirt.

If that doesn't work it may be that the waste ink tank is full. Try this ...

Canon S9000, S300, S400, i550, i560, i850, i860, i865, i9100, i9950, PIXMA iP3000 above,
1. Turn off printer

2. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
3. Release RESUME
4. press RESUME twice, then release POWER
5. let green light blink until printhead has finished moving.
6. Select functions below with RESUME, execute with POWER

0 presses - green light - Test Print (exit service for i960)
1 press - orange light - EEPROM info print
2 presses - green light - EEPROM initialise
3 presses - orange light - reset waste ink counter.

Blinking orange 5 times and 1 green

Try this:
Most of the time when a printer used for a certain period the ink would dry out and caused an error message. What you do is to replace with a new inks pad inside the printer and reset that error message. Once it is done, your printer will work again!

For Printer Model: Canon S9000, S300, S400, i550, i560, i850, i860, i865, i9100, i9950, PIXMA iP3000:

1. Turn off printer
