you have got problem in the switch circuitery of your monitor.there is nothing that you can personelly do,,, you have to take it to the service centre of hyundai,,

Your monitor needs a 12volt 5amp power supply with + 5,5mm tip. Most universal power supplies will not supply enough amps to power an LCD monitor. If you need an adapter we do have them in stock at:

Hyundai for some reason does not do or does not want to do a good job of releasing proprietory information for their vehicles. I have had the same problem on a variety of hyundai products. if you search "HMA service" hyundai has a factory service website. It is hard to navigate unfortunately but has been helpful for me in the past. You have to sign up and get a log in. I hope this helps, I recently had an 05 Accent that I could not find a manual for anywhere....it really bites...

I have downloaded the manual from Hyundai website en_man_monitor_lseries_l52s.zip

The regulator ic is lm7812 series lm no matter replace it or 12v regulator

hyundai will not repair this however a electronic service center aka tv repair may. I can do it as most likely is it several capacitors that have blown. Hyundai is also a little picky to open they are assembled very well actually compared to other monitors (they are difficult to open up) let me know what you would liek to do.
