Question about Cybernet Systems CyberPower 625AVR (cp625avr) UPS System
My battery backup ups system Cyber Powre 625avr went dead on just one row, the battery backup side and yet the surge protector outlets row works fine. This unit is out of warranty. What should I do?
Thanks for your assistance,
The battery you need is BP7-12. I called Cyberpower and they emailed me the info. It is easy to put in. Batteryplex.com has them for about $29. That includes shipping. There is no tax unless you live in FL.

What you are describing is usually a result of the batteries losing their ability to hold a charge.
The surge protector side does not rely on the batteries.
I found good batteries at a reasonable cost on ebay, but I think you're going to need to replace batteries at this point.
Hope this helps.

The batteries used by Cyberpower are BB battery brand. This model uses the BP7-12, which is used in a lot of UPS brands. There are six screws on the bottom of the unit that are tucked inside of holes. Remove those and the top will come off revealing the batteries. It's really quite simple. Here's a link to that BP7-12: http://www.batteryinternational.com/cyber-power-cps625avr-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html

Also have same problem...just happened!
What kind of batteries and how do you replace them?

The battery inside is a standard alarm battery, 12 volt that can be found easyly. In fact, any 12 volt rechargable battery will work. I used an old car battery and it's working good for a year now...
