Hi, first you need to activate in the service mode the drum life notification
in the copier control panel:
press additional function
press 2 and 8 and the same time
press additional function
service mode should appear in the screen if doesnt try again
select copier
select option
select body
select the item DLIFE-SW
press 1 in the control panel
press ok in the lower corner
press reset to finish service mode
turn the machine off from the main switch for a few seconds (5 seconds) and then on
once the machine is fully operating go to device status tab and you will see in there the level of toners and drums

Canonir3100cn error code E000020-0081

Hi,
Dirty Drum patch sensor OR the drum has reached 100% of it's life.
iRC3100 drums NEVER go past 100%...once they reach that magic figure in the counters then it's time for a drum replacement.
If you know how to access service mode then check under:
COPIER>DENS>P-SENS-P and make sure that the figure is around the 500 mark...if it's below say,250 then that indicates that the drum patch sensor is having trouble reading correctly and may either need cleaning or a new drum unit.

IR2270 copier displaied error code E000020-000

It's concerning the toner level in the dev unitor drum unit. Try entering service mode and selecting 'install' this will stir toner and try to feed toner through. Could be a dirty or faulty toner level sensor. Cuuld also be the drum life over - check drum life in the service mode. Check my other posts to see how to enter service mode

Canon IR C4080i

The drum will either produce an error code of E000020 with multiple subcodes. This is time to change it. Also if your getting weak density or solid backgrounding of a particular color. These are all ques to change the drum.
