Question about Cobra 29 LTD CB Radio
For a mobile or home base setup 100 - 250 watts is enough on all modes am / fm / ssb / cw, 1000w or 1 kw would be a overkill. what transmitters rely on is a tuned antenna and swr near 1:1 or 1:1.5, achieving a good tuned antenna will give you a clean output and good signal.

No more that 500 watts max.
Simple..anything over 500 watts wont be noticable to anyone close to you unless you go up to 1000 watts or more.
