Depending on door seals and the number of times the door is opened and the temp setting on the thermostat and the positioning of the fridge it could be considered normal
see if you can get an idea of the cycle times at night when the fridge is not being opened and the room is cooler if the temp setting is close to 32 or zero celsius then the fridge works hard to maintain that low setting but if the setting is higher say 5 degrees celsius it runs a lot easier
the problem with fridges is that every time the door is opened , all the cold air falls on the floor and the motor has to run to fill the fridge with cold air again
fridges that are full of food maintain their cold better than empty fridges

Fan constantly running on top of viking refrigerator , vcbb363 bottm mount freezer

It sounds like there may be an issue with the fan or the control board in your Viking refrigerator. The constant running of the fan, even when the compressor is not running, is not normal. The fact that different repair technicians have given different diagnosis and the issue persist even after replacing the compressor fan motor, suggest that it may be a problem with the control board, which manages the refrigeration system, including the fan. It could also be a problem with the thermostat, or the system's settings. Since the fridge and freezer seem to be at normal temperatures, it may not be a problem with the cooling system. It's best to contact Viking customer service for further assistance and see if they can provide any additional information or troubleshooting steps. If the issue persist, it's best to ask for a senior technician or supervisor to take a look at it and provide a resolution.

Kenmore 10656926600 cycles on for 11-12 minutes then off 14-15 minutes constantly. Fridge and freezer temps are good.

Based on the information you provided, it sounds like your Kenmore refrigerator is operating normally.
Most modern refrigerators are designed to cycle on and off in order to maintain the temperature inside the fridge and freezer compartments. During the "on" cycle, the compressor runs and cools the refrigerant, which in turn cools the air inside the fridge and freezer. During the "off" cycle, the compressor stops running and the refrigerant flows back to the compressor to prepare for the next cycle.
The length of the on and off cycles can vary depending on factors such as the ambient temperature in the room, the amount of food inside the fridge, and how often the doors are opened. However, it's normal for a refrigerator to cycle on for around 10-15 minutes and then off for around 20-30 minutes.
If the temperature inside the fridge and freezer compartments is staying at the correct levels, then there is likely no cause for concern. However, if you notice any unusual sounds, odors, or fluctuations in temperature, it may be worth having a professional technician inspect the refrigerator to ensure it's functioning properly.

Last night, we had an electrical issue... water got into an outside socket which knocked out the ground faulted outlet inside, which took out the fridge too. Once we identified what had happened we reset...

The compressor is high siding....i.e there was a BRIEF power outtage and it was repowered before the coolant system stabilized to the compressor does not stand a chance of starting due to high pressures so about every 4 minutes or so you should hear a click or note a brief blink for about 40 seconds of lights in the home. This is the termal overload cycling. The compressor / coolant system needs to equalize. Unplug it for 30 minutes then plug it back in and listen for the compressor to start. After a 10 minutes... feel the front of the chassis where the doors close. It should be warm to the touch. If you feel the chassis is warm... after 10 minutes everything should be back to normal. IF not respond with a complete model number. My bet is it will start after a 30 min rest.

Compressor humms for about a minute then clicks off. neither the fridge or freezer are cold. What should I do?

compressor is faulty. It controls both the fridge and freezer. you have a minute chance that if you switch the fridge off for 30 min. and retry it would have cooled down enough to restart.

I have an RFA51P Fridge/Freezer and the ''warm temp'' light is on permanently. Does this mean I need a new thermostat? Thank you.

if you cant hear the motor/compressor running when energised then its likely to be a thermostat2_bing.gif fault... but on energising the system if you hear a buzz then a click then its more seriously the main motor... turn off at mains for 5 mins then turn on... this should tell you either way
