I have a 2003 mitsubishi diamond ws 55813 and the picture is wavy. It use to do it when it turned on and went away. Now it is permanent? What is wrong?

generally this means a bad digital module.. as a techinican the first thing that we would check are what is know as standby voltages. if they were there we would replace digital module.! question. Does it blink for more than 70 seconds. This unit comes with a lockout feature. to unlock press and hold menu down for 10 seconds on front panel.

This EXACT thing just started happening with my WS-48513. Anyone have any ideas?

this is very common with these sets. the fix is to replace 11 very very smal capacitor on what is known as the hypermodule. The ideal sitation is to replace the hypermodule. if you can find it. I can do this repair. I have done about 10 at the shop. if you need to i would suggest finding someone who is very experence in surface mounted repair
