Can You see the paper?? if so, try getting a small flat blade screwdriver, turn off your printer and unplug the power, dab the flat bit with a tiny bit of pritt stick, dab the offending paper and withdraw it from the machine, if not, try folding a piece of a4 in half, place the paper in the feed tray and gently feed the paper by hand, back and forth along the full width of the machine, being careful not to damage any sensors, you might be lucky and the piece of paper may work itself out, or at least dislodge and then come out when u print, failing this, its strip down or scrap it time!

Keeps saying there is a paper jam

Unplug the printer and open all the access panels. Using a small flashlight may help. Carefully check all areas inside the printer for a stray piece of paper logged somewhere inside. You may need a small pair of pliers or tweezers to remove the piece of paper.

When clearing jams ensure you find the entire piece of paper that was jammed in the printer.

When your done, be sure to securely replace all parts removed from the printer and properly close all the access panels.

I have a Canon MP 210 with an E3 error message (paper jam) though there is NO paper jam. The paper feeder is spinning but doesn't grab the paper. Please help! Thank you, Robin

I think there is a paper jam or something stuck in the sensor that is making it think there is a paper jam. It may be a very small piece of paper which you have missed. Look again.

Canon pixma mx340 4-in-1 wireless printer thinks it's jammed when it's not. say "error 6000". Assistance is greatly appreciated. thank you

error 6000 is a paper jam, which means there is something in the flag that senses whether or not there is paper in the path. Look very carefully in the area just before the paper comes out before the printing area. You will likely find a small piece of paper stuck, or a small object. Often a small inspection mirror helps.

My printer thinks there is a paper jam, but there isn't one. It will not reset even after going through all the steps to clear the paper path. Suggestions?

Likely a small sensor that senses paper in the channel has either been bent during a [a[er jam OR has a piece of torn paper in it.

It thinks it is jammed when it is not

there has to be a tiny piece of paper stuck in there some where. It can be a very small piece. Check again, use a flash light if you have to, to get a really good view.

Paper Jam

Not easy, thats the fuser, normally it is damaged and beyond it causing paper to jam there, no easy fix, cant pull it out without major screwdriver challange...I think thats this one... some fuser s(hot bit that paper exits), are pop out by green release tabs but if I have my models right these are the cheaper version and they fix them to the machine thus ensuring you upgrade..modern world..

Cannot clear paper jam on L7580.

give this a try
try this, its probably a small part of jammed paper or then theres a problem with the pickup, try cleaning it.

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

Konica minolta pagepro 1400w paper jam

have you tear the paper when removing? there is a small paper left still inside the paper path. open the back side and the top part and check for small paper. I hope that will solve your problem and if think the problem still there the problem is one of the paper sensor actuator is broken or out of place.

Paper jam message will not go off - so unable to print . there does not appesr to be anything in the printer. have tried every thing i can think of. help ireally need to print

Do a careful check for anything stuck in the printer- a small piece of paper, paper clip, or even a small piece of broken plastic from the printer itself. Anything that can jam up the works, or hold a paper sense sensor in an activated position can give you a problem like this. Also, the paper sensor itself could have a problem. This sensor is in the paper path somewhere.
