I am unable to turn off my phone. When I take out the battery and put it back in it automatically turns back on. I am also unable to end calls. The end/power button does not work at all. The rest of the phone works great.

Take the battery out of your phone so it shuts down. put the battery back in but do not press the power button. plug in the usb cord to your charging input on your phone. next plug the usb end into a usb port on your computer. make sure your internet browser is open. phone should automatically turn on and reset itself. If it does not come back on then press the power button. If this also does not work then you will have to flash your phone or find someone that can
just take out the battery and put it back in (do not put the cover back on) then let it turn white then wait like 10 seconds then push end 2 or three times (to make sure anything that may pop up when you regularly turn on your phone is gone) then hold the end button (as if you were turning your phone off) then let go of the off button then pull the keyboard out then use ur hands to press the battery in tight (the battery should already be in the phone at this time but just press down like you really want the battery to be in place)
that happened to me after i dropped it in the toilet. if you pry up the keys around it aswell as the power key because they are all connected and push really hard on the silver thing it will turn on. then just push the keys back in place. trust me it works!
First, take the battery out and put it back in to reset it. Then try again to see if you can manually turn it off.
This resets the phone and is the first step in troubleshooting.
Another thing I would do, is test to see if there is something wrong with the end button itself. With a flip phone, normally the end button is unneeded because you close it to hang up. Try ending a call using that button to see if it is a broken keypad issue.
I would also have the local store update the firmware, which should repair any files that may be corrupted, if that is the case.
Also, if the phone has any water damage (when you open the back of the phone, there will be a red dot instead of a white one), this can cause all sorts of crazy problems.
If none of the above solutions work, the only other way to power your phone off is just to remove the battery. You should be able to put the battery back in without the phone restarting, but if it does, just keep the battery out when you want the phone off.
ok this might work I cannot guarantee it. first back up all of your data onto your computer. After that turn off your phone. then first hold the up button then at the same time hold hold down the power button and you should get to format mode press 1 and it will automatically format it. then it should boot up normally. put the memory card in see if it works and put all of your data back on your phone. hpe this helps with your problems
