Vulcan-chef is part of the email/ electrolux group of companies (hoover, simpson, westinghouse, AEG, dishlex etc)so try the service spares for email or electrolux
thermostats are fairy generic for the older units so ask the spares department for a suitable replacement
ask any appliance repair shop if they could point you to a supplier

What is a replacement part for a vulcan 260L64 range thermostat?

You need to get the model, serial and version numbers off the data plate in order to get the correct part. The date of manufacture may be needed too. This information is needed to get the correct part since sometime parts change mid production . Once you have the information , you may be able to buy online or any appliance parts company.

How do i calibrate a lg300 gas fryer

I don't know that you can calibrate a thermostat on a deep fryer...Is your thermostat bad? Is the temperature setting off? Is it working at all? You could call Vulcan directly and ask for the parts/warranty dept and they could tell for sure if calibrating is possible or not... If not, and you need a new thermostat, then they can point you in the right direction for a dealer that sells their parts...
If I can help in any other way, call us at 888-542-5959. Thanks, Susan @ Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cincinnati, OH.... www.restaurantequipmentinc.com

The High Limit is a self resetting thermostat that acually works like an oven control. If the fryer is too hot it will cut off the gas burner valve voltage:
OEM PN is 00-854453
Original PN VUL854453

The 854453 number comes up often in the part search for the high limit.
The high limit contacts can be checked and reading the NO and NC terminals. This control / switch is normally closed until opened by heat at 450 Deg F.

Pilot won't lite. fryer is 6 months old. Did get pilot to lite once and as soon as we turned thermostat pilot went out.

When you turned on the thermostat you required more millivolts from the system and it failed. Low millivolts. That would tell you the pilot generator needs replacing. Make sure you have a good pilot flame hitting the pilot generator.

I have a ef3 vulcan, when reaches temp, the pilot goes out.

Set the thermostat to 350 degrees, get a thermometer and put it in the oil, when the unit shuts off look at the temp of the oil.If the temp of the oil is higher then the thermostat is bad if not the hi-limit may be.Let me know.
