How do I fix my refrigerator after replacing the control panel?

The control panel shorted out. I replaced it with a new one but the compressor still won't turn on. The light works, even worked when the old panel shorted.

For my 1st meal, I possess a cup of rolled oats with the lake.Sometimes I add my protein powder to the oats, add water and eat it like that or sometime I gain the oats with water and can then be drink the protein powder separately after mixing it in a glass of water. The oats will give everybody of the complex carbs you need and about the protein powder you buy needed amino acid.

Is GSS25JFPCC the correct model number? If yes and many other GE refrigerators that have a motherboard. The motherboard for your refrigerator is found on the back and is item location 801 found HERE If you would like to replace the=> WR55X10942 Main Control Board or here=> WR55X10942 Main Control Board
I can provide you a service manual and explain all the things to consider when replacing the board. Things like fan motors, compressor start relay/overload and run capacitor also need to be examined to prevent the new board from going bad. A fan motor can cause this if it shorts. 2006 Honda Odyssey AC Compressor not working

HI. Here is a complete check list that will help you trouble shot this issue. You will find the problem in one or more of these areas stated below.

1. Check Drive Belts - The air conditioner utilizes a drive belt that supplies power to rotate the compressor, which is basically a refrigerant pump. If the belt fails the compressor has nothing to drive it, inspect and replace as needed to restore operation. If belt is intact proceed to the next step.

2. Check for Compressor Clutch Engagement - Turn the air conditioner to the "on" position and set controls to the coldest setting. Start the engine and allow to idle. Then open the hood and inspect the clutch at the front of the compressor, is it turning? "Engaged" if so, the system has enough refrigerant to activate. If the system is low on refrigerant it will not work properly. In this case an air conditioner recharge kit is needed to recharge the system. If the system is low on refrigerant it could cycle on and off, making a ticking noise. If the compressor clutch is not turning proceed to next step.

3. Inspect for Refrigerant Leaks - If the system has a large leak and no refrigerant remains it will not activate. First test system for a static pressure charge, with the engine off attach an ac gauge to the low side pressure port and check the state of charge. Depending on outside temperature there should be between 50 psi and 80 psi. (Cool and warm). A refrigerant leak detector is needed to inspect for leak, but if you do not have a leak detector there is an alternative method. The air conditioner system is designed to run with oil suspended in the refrigerant to lubricate the system. Check for oily residue outside the system by inspecting all hoses, compressor, condenser, evaporator or receiver drier and replace any component that has failed.

4. Inspect Fuses - Check under dash panel and under hood power distribution center. Replace failed fuses as needed, recheck system. If the new fuse fails when reinstalled a short circuit is present and requires diagnosing with a wiring schematic, follow circuits to locate short, repair as needed and recheck system.

5. Check Temperature Control Vents - The vents inside your car are controlled by a cable, electrical servo or vacuum servo. If the temperature blend door is not functioning properly it will cause warm air from the heater to exit the vents. To check this start the car and allow the engine idle, next turn the blower motor speed on low, switch the temperature control from warm to cold while your ear is close to the vents. You should hear the door move inside the heater box as it swings from open to close. If not, insect for a vacuum leak or a shorted motor in the servo, repair the leak or replace the servo motor.

Warm refrigerator

I had the same problem with my msd2756ae. We had been using the blow dryer, removing the rear panel in the freezer section, etc.

We replaced the adaptive defrost control board. Solved our problem. It's an easy replacement, located in the refrigerator section, top right---behind the temp. control slide. The hardest part is removing the top panel that holds the temperature slide. Then it's "pull and replace".

Thermostat controls regulate the temperature of the refrigerator

The thermostat control is usually mounted inside the refrigerator. Its visible control knob is turned to regulate the refrigerator/freezer temperature. The workability of this control can be tested in various ways, depending on the problem. To test the thermostat control:

Step 1:
If the compressor runs all the time, turn the control knob to the OFF position. If the compressor still runs, unplug the unit, then pull off the control knob and remove the screws holding the thermostat in place. Pull out the thermostat and remove either the red or the blue wire from its terminal. Plug in the unit. If the compressor doesn't run, the thermostat is faulty. Replace it with a new thermostat.

Step 2:
If the compressor runs after the wire is removed from its terminal, there is probably a short circuit somewhere in the unit's wiring. In this case, don't try to fix the problem yourself; call a professional service person.

Step 3:
If the refrigerator or freezer runs but the box doesn't cool, unplug the unit and remove the thermostat with a screwdriver. Disconnect both wires from the thermostat. Tape the ends of the wires together with electrical tape, and plug in the appliance. If the refrigerator starts and runs normally, the thermostat is faulty. Replace it with a new one of the same type. Connect the new thermostat the same way the old one was connected.

Step 4:

Servicing the Evaporator Fan

In some cases, a faulty thermostat may not be the cause of a warm refrigerator or freezer. A warm box may also be caused by a defective fan, a blocked fan, or broken or bent fan blades. If the blades are jammed, try to free them. If they're bent, straighten them with pliers. If this doesn't solve the problem, call a professional service person.

On some refrigerators, the door switch operates the evaporator fan. If the fan seems to be malfunctioning, the door switch could be faulty. Test the switch as detailed in the last page, and replace it if necessary

After cleaning coils and in back of fridge, it appears that the defrost keeps cycling every 5 minutes

Freezer has quit working and now refrigerator not cooling like it should.

If you hear the start relay clicking after the compressor tries to start then you know that there is power to the compressor.
This tells you it is ether a bad start relay or a bad compressor.
At this point I use a meter to see if the compressor is shorted to ground.
If the compressor is not shorted then replace the start relay and give it a try.
You should hear the compressor start right away with a new start relay if that was the problem.
If the compressor is shorted to ground you will need to have the compressor replaced.
Given the history on whirlpool refrigerators in the 5 year old age range It may be good chance that a new start relay will fix your refrigerator.
If the start relay is bad you will hear it try to start the compressor and then click off.
If the relay is bad you will hear the clicking sound seconds after plugging it in and then again every minute or two as it keeps trying to start the compressor.
