Question about Flat Panel Televisions
The TV has speckles from the mid upper left to the bottom and about 10 inches across. It is only real apparent when the tv is showing a dark picture or dark colors.
some of these panels were mis-calibrated from the factory after not aging long enough. Let the TV run for atleast 2 hours and adjust the Vs and Vscan voltages. When it is blue in the left I have found generally the Vs is about 10 volts too high.

T-con or timing control board is defective or the syscon link board that feeds the panel itself... For that problem you'll need to take it to a shop - the whole Tv has to come apart to get to the T-con so it can be properly tested...

The T-Con board (otherwise known as LVDS) connects to two seperste parts of the LCD panel. If you do have half a picture (left or right) replacing the T-Con board should resolve this issue. Open your TV, find the part number and search on eBay or at sites like www.flattvparts.co.uk where you can search by TV model number.
