I want scan just first 10 digit with symbol ls2208

Just take a Print out this PDF file and Scan the Barcode
1st u need to scan the enable Interface Barcode then Scan Any barcode Length

Sometimes it can be something as simple as scanning another code and retrying. Don't forget to scan the save command.

use the programming manual and scan set default barcode

you need to scan some of the bar codes found on the manual.
Find the product reference manual -usually found on the cd with the scanner or download from motorola site - and in chapter "symbologies" scan "ENABLE CODE128" barcode.
To have prefix when a code is scanned, scan "SCAN OPTIONS" then " then "ENTER"
Last set the preffix value by scanning "SCAN PREFFIX" then four digits that correspond to the character you want to use as preffix.
If you need more than one character for preffix then you will need the Advanced formatting manual, which ican be downloaded from motorola. In this case you need to create a "rule".

you would need to assign the rules to a specific ruleset. Then you switch between the ruleset to specify which rules are active at the moment. Attached are the programming barcodes for the LS2208 solve this problem. Print the attached file and scan the barcodes in order 1-10. This will only work on a LS2208. If you scan the Set Defaults barcode it will erase this programming rule.

If you would like the LS2208 to transmit only the first twelve digits of an EAN-13 barcode followed by an enter you will have to write an Advanced Data Formatting rule using barcodes from the LS2208 Product Reference Guide found here: http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=5880806apdf&sliceId=&dialogID=114420371&stateId=1%200%20114410810

The barcodes you will print and scan in the order they are listed are:
Begin New Rule
EAN-13 (from the Critera pages of the ADF section)
Send Next 12 Characters
Send Enter key
Save Rule

If all other barcodes require an enter key make sure you scan Scan Options, Data Suffix, Enter (from the same manual or from the Quick Start Guide) before scanning the ADF rule above.

so you need it to be 0AH + 03H + 03H/BARCODE/PRESS ENTER definetly try adf rules

Go to the LS2208 quick start manual scan the "Set Defaults" barcode and it will return the handheld to factory default.
