Question about Sony Ericsson Z310i Cellular Phone

My z310i runs out battery, wont charge, wont speak

My z310i started acting very strange two days ago. Of course it is only 5 weeks out of warranty, but Sony Ericsson wont do anything for me. The problems: 1. Battery charge life has suddenly dropped from 2-3 days to about 5 hours (on idle).
2. Phone will not charge battery. Screen says to "use a Sony Ericsson charger", which I am using. I am having to put my battery in my wife's z310i phone just to charge it, twice per day.
3. Worst of all, my microphone is suddenly not working. Neither on speaker phone nor regular mode does my voice go out. I can hear the other person but they can't hear me. All this has happened around the same time. Phone did not get dropped or wet or anything like that. Please help...Thanks.

Is your car somewhere where you can sit in the car and see the headlight beams? Put the headlights on and turn the key. If the headlights go dim like a glow worm, your battery is flat.

That can be caused by a few things.
Something electrical left on in the car. Charge it up, or get a jump.
Faulty battery. New one.
Worn out battery, they last 5 years. New one.

You say it worked 2 weeks ago? That makes me believe that your battery is flat and worn out. For a few quid, you can get a battery charger at Halfords, and if you are going to be leaving the vehicle for extended periods, you might like to invest in a battery maintainer. These connect to the battery and provide a small tickle charge to keep the battery topped up. They use little power.

If the headlights stay bright, then the solenoid or starter is at fault. You will need one or the other replaced.

Issues with Laptop Battery not charging

You may have a bad battery but, my best guess is the motherboard and it is not cheap.

Have you seen inside a laptop battery, it's not just a battery. It also has control circuitry inside, could be that. Not usually repairble but you can do some makes of battery. See here:Circuit.
Personally I would buy a new battery.

Approximately 5 weeks ago I started getting the message when on AC power that the "smart AC adapter is not providing enough power" (something like that anyway!) And even though plugged in would...

first, you need to try to power on your laptop with another battery with the AC adaptor plugged in. if your problem was not solved you need to check the power jack on your mothernorad.

Hi, My Kipor 6700TA wont start. Battery died or fuel issue?

It sounds like your unit may not be charging the battery properly.

Try charging the battery and see if it responds properly. If it does, then check the charging circuit. This OFTEN involves a rectifier module which is usually about 1 inch square with four leads. OFTEN there is a fuse, sometimes within the generator housing (stupid place) which protects the low voltage winding.

Here is a hint: Most of these engines have a compression release on the top that one can press then crank up to speed and release. This takes much less effort on the battery. Some have a panel held by bolts. I put hinges on mine for easy access.

REMEMBER the battery is being drained WHILE the unit is running to hold the fuel solenoid open... so if charging isn't working the battery will die.

Test: You should see about 13.75 to 14 volts across the battery when properly being charged while running.
