Samsung un55nu6950fxza TV

These LEDs are very susceptible to static electricity damage. What happens when they get zapped is a tiny threading fault starts in the LED crystal. The aluminum contact metal starts migrating into the crack, makes it wider and longer, and eventually goes all the way through the LED and shorts it out. When that happens, the metal overheats and burns out the LED so the entire string goes dead.

What this means for you is that the original LED may have been may have been zapped at the factory. The replacement strip likewise, or when it was removed from another TV (if it is a used part), or when you put it in. It should have been in anti-static packaging. You have to be very careful not to touch any of the circuitry on the LED strip, and make sure you ground your hand to the TV metal both before picking up the LED strip and right before connecting the strip to the TV. Better yet, use an anti-static wristband connected to the TV frame.

It is possible that the LED driver for that string is pushing too much current, but that's not likely. You would probably notice that part of the screen is unnaturally bright.

TV led back-light repair

Tv using power supply unit EAY62810301.

No back-light/sound ok.

No dc voltage measured at P801 led plug.
New board did not fix.
Remove display panel.
With face up, panel will hinge up. (after removing all trim parts) Place folded towels beneath, to prevent strain on tcon ribbon.
Fold other screens up and over on top of display to keep them in right order. Including white background reflector.
Check each series led string with 2*9V batteries and series resistor, minding marked polarity.
Circuit consists of 3 strips of 7 leds all in series.
One bad led disables all .
Check each led of bad string. I used 18V and 1K ohm.
Replace strip or jumper (short) bad led. I just jumpered the bad one that was on edge of panel. (first in string).

Metal strip on samsung cool select drawer slider came out

If the metal strip on your Samsung Cool Select Drawer slider has come out, you may be able to fix it yourself with the following steps:
  1. Remove the Cool Select Drawer from the fridge.
  2. Locate the metal strip and examine it to determine how it came out. If it's bent or damaged, you may need to replace it.
  3. Reattach the metal strip to the slider by sliding it back into the groove in the slider. If it's loose, you can use a pair of pliers to carefully bend it back into place.
  4. Once the metal strip is back in place, slide the Cool Select Drawer back into the fridge and test it to make sure it's sliding smoothly.
If you're unable to fix the problem yourself or the metal strip is damaged beyond repair, you may need to contact Samsung customer support or a professional repair service for assistance.

The extension wand of my Miele Jazz upright will not re-seat in its holder. What could be the problem? I called Miele, but they couldn't help me.

ir your talking where the metal tube goes into the plastic opening on the right side, take a look into the plastic opening you will see about 5 little plastic seperaters they basically are there so when you put the wand back in it should fit like a groove type. my miele was having same problem and i realized you cant just put wand in any way, doing so could bend one of those plastic strips making it hard to connect it. one of them was bent on mine and i just carefully moved it back into place and now it locks great good luck

When i open the game i have massge error during Bable initialistion

Instructions
Things You'll Need:

* Electrical tape
* Wooden dowel
* String

1. Place a strip of electrical tape over the latch of the dryer. If your dryer loads from the front, simply locate the latch and place a strip of electrical tape over it. This will stop the door from "catching."
2. Put a wooden dowel on the base of your top loading dryer and prop open the top, the same way you open the hood of your car. This will keep the dryer door open quite easily.
3. Tie a piece of string to the knob on the dryer door. Then tie the other end of the string to something else sturdy in your laundry room. Make sure the string is taut. This will also keep your dryer door open.

Refrigerator door gasket pulls down and brakes off on top corner

Look it over and see how it is held in place. A stripped screw or bent clamp depending on what holds it in place is the most likely suspect.

A stripped screw get a slightly bigger one or shrink the hole with tooth pics or match stick.

Bent metal strip remove and straighten possibly bending a little more in the opposite direction. And sometime 1 metal strip may be put on upside down or turned around backwards and not holding. look for similarity in the way these type of bracket/strips attach.

If this helps please rate me as high as possible.Thank you for using fixya.

Fuel door wont stay closed

there is a little metal tesion bar/bracket that keeps it in the open or closed position. If your fuel door itself is not bent or damaged then I would check this bar to see if it has been bent or out of place. I'm not sure if there is a replacement part; I just bent mine a little to get it to stay closed. Unfortunatly I left it open the other day when I went thru a car was after fueling and the door is bent now so I have another issue to deal with.

hope that helps
