Question about Northstar Gas Powered Wet Steam & Hot Water Pressure Washer 3000 PSI

Will not fire.blower runs.have all switches blower and ignition sparks blue. I think its a no fuel problem what can stop fuel flow

Won't start and no spark

For a blower to run it requires three things.
Proper fuel\air mixture.
Compression - the resistance you feel when hand cranking the engine.

The spark has three key factors the circuit, spark plug, and ignition module. Make sure the run\stop switch in the ignition circuit is working, connected and is in the run position. Circuit OK then replace the spark plug. Last resort replace the ignition module.

My rvb26 will not start

Fire, fuel and Oxygern is all it takes to make one one run. However, it's not quite that simple the right around of each has to be in place at the proper Millisecond. I would take my spark plug out and lay it on the head to where it is grounded and with the run switch "ON" pull the cord and watch the end of the plug to see if you see BLUE fire come out of it. If yes then your ignition system is functioning properly. If not might as well head to the shop with it. With a blue streak of fire put the plug back in and choke it and pull it three or four times. If nothing pull the plug out anddd see if it is wer with gas. If it is let it set a few minutes and put the plug back in and try it without choking it. Make sure it is getting fuel to the carburetor and if so you msy have to go into the carburetor to see if it has trash stopping it up.

1990chevy suburban 2500 350 died while driving and won't restart I can hear the fuel pump turn on I have changed the fuel filter and still nothing what's next

check for spark, no spark, no fire engine wont run, possible bad ignition coil, wire from coil to distributor cap, no power to ignition coil from ignition switch (rare) wire broken to ignition coil (even rarer)

My toro push mower has a 6.75 Briggs and Stratton it was running great and it died iI checked for fire and it has fire I cleanded the carb bowl no dirt or water I cleaned the points and yhe float is...

You need to see if you are getting spark at the plug.

Blue spark is good
White spark, not so good
NO spark, not good. This would mean that the Ignition Coil is bad.

Have a 5.5 HP Tecumseh engine in a snow blower with starting problems. This is a 4 stroke engine that is 3 years old. Engine won't start, not even a sputter. Have clean gas, fresh oil change and a new...

Check the spark plug that is gapped 0.020" for blue, snappy spark. If weak or nothing, expose the flywheel and ignition module, then turn the flywheel until the magnets are under the module poles. Insert a thin business card into the pole gaps, loosen the module screws and allow the module to contact the magnets. Tighten the screws and rotate the flywheel somewhat to release the card. Rotate the flywheel one full turn to make sure the gaps don't close up further. Remove the ignition switch wire from the module coil, and try for spark again--if nothing, replace the module. If the initial check for spark was fine, then pour a little fuel into the cylinder head through the plug hole and try for start. If it fires several times, you have fuel delivery problems. Check for fuel flow from the tank by removing the fuel line at the carburetor--it should run out in a thin stream. If nothing or just drips, check the fuel filter for plugging. If ok, then remove the carburetor, disassemble, and clean the interior with spray carburetor cleaner. Use of compressed air will help clean any small passages. Hope this helps!

Gas flow stopped mid mow, tank to carb has good flow,could float have stuck, only starts for a second or two, ??

The ignition circuit starts and ends with the battery. When the engine is running the battery is continuously being recharged by an alternator or, on older systems, a generator. Current flows from the positive terminal of the battery to the ignition switch and an ignition coil. The ignition coil is really a transformer that steps up the 12-volt current of the battery to somewhere in the neighborhood of 25,000 volts. In engines of medium to high compression this kind of voltage is necessary to reliably arc across the gap on a spark plug and make enough fire to ignite the fuel/air mixture in a cylinder.

Running fine then wont'nt start

You will have to pull a spark plug out to check that you have spark when cranking the engine,while you have the plug/s out do a compression test to determine health of engine and wether it is in fact giving compression,eliminates other potential faults if compression is good.If you have compression(around 140 ish)and introduced fuel and it wont fire up it only leaves electrics as the fault.3 major engine requirements to run Fuel,Compression,ignition.When checking spark at night is best as you can easily see wether you have the correct type of spark,Blue and if its quite you will hear the spark as well.Your fault is consistant with ignition module,coil or lack of power to ignition.Faulty modules will give a spark but its too weak to ignite fuel and the spark will be yellow in color.Let me know how it goes.Good luck
