I have reinstalled windows XP Professional, the the sound drivers from intel for an intel d101ggcl motherboard. Device manager says no sound device installed and no sound comes from headphones. Srivers for realtec downloaded and installed from Intel - device mamager says device working correctly. But no sound comes out. Help!!

I reinstalled xp pro, and now the system says there's no sound device.
I am running an hp pavilion 520n.

well you know what reset ur bios sometimes with intel this thing happens even with my self n some of my frends too their sounds not working coz its automatically being disabled dont know y i guess by bios updating or sumthing like that so go to bios n enable it or reset ur bios to orignal factory default settings if still the problems is the same then reply me i'll tell u how to do it!
