Question about Televison & Video
My DN remote is on its last leg. I have 1 universal remote, and 3 or 4 Direct TV remotes, and a Mitsubshi "universal" remote that came with my TV DL-6542 (62" rear projection). NONE of them seem to work with the Dish Pro receiver. I called DN and they tell me the only fix is to order THEIR remote, that no other remote on the face of the planet as I phrased it will work.... B.S..
I would like to program any of these remotes to work the Dish Pro by Echostar... Can anyone help? The codes I have do not seem to work with this piece of equipment from the Mitsubishi manual, can the Direct TV remotes be reprogrammed, what is the solution?
If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability. Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the sites.
Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some on-line sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

Hello, follow this link to download the manual and the codes for your remotes:
just right click and save as on the download links.
if this does not work you can try the search method,
you do this by either holding down the device button eg: TV or if you have one the "magic" button for three seconds, a light should then flash twice to say you have done this correctly.
then press the keys 991 then the power button.
you must now press the channel up key (ch+) possibly upto 150 times while the remote cycles through every code.
Once your tv or device switches off stop pressing the ch+ key and press the power button to make sure it switches back on,
(if you press ch+ too many times you can go back by pressing ch-)
When complete press the magic or device key again to save the settings (light should flash twice to confirm)

Check the Innovage manual for the automatic code search. If it works, you still may not have full control of your HR20. Try to program your Directv remote to operate your components

SOURCE: Universal Remote Codes
I just programmed my comcast remote today and the codes in the manual work fine. I was lucky, the first one as the one I needed. Good luck.
