More typically, these color uniformity problems occur without respect to which input or cable is used. The one exception is when a bad component cable or component cable connection disturbs the color.

If you're only getting the problem when viewing through the set-top box and HDMI cable, you may try changing the cable, having the box inspected or replaced or tweaking the many XBR1 custom color settings for that specific input.
If you are experiencing a genuine color uniformity issue such as the green haze problem regardless of input after allowing the set a reasonable amount of time for warmup, you may not be able to get it fixed to your satisfaction. Sony's "cure" in most cases has been to replace the optical block. Last I heard, this major component was on back order. They're going to want to do a service call on your set first, of course. If they look at your set and tell you it needs a new OB, I wouldn't waste time being put on a waiting list for the new part. That may never happen, or at least not in a reasonable timeframe. OB replacements don't always go smoothly either; it's a major repair requiring good technician skills. Best bet: go for the XBR2 swap, as a few others have done.

Sony Trinitron's colors have turned green yellow

Only yellow color denotes the absence of Blue color. Check it. Check its video output card for any loose solder terminals at the blue color output section circuits.

Sony tv screen turns green

Use the remote control to go into your TV picture settings menu and change the mode to NATURAL. It's also a good idea to check that all of your cables are in good shaped and tightly connected.

The green color could signify that your TV is magnetized. This can cause colors to draw out to the corners of the screen. Remove any magnetizing devices, like speakers, away from the TV and see if that helps.

For more solutions, read the troubleshooting steps outlined in TV color problems. I hope this helps!

Why do i have a green screen after i turn the screen adjustment screw?

since every display color monitors are only work with 3 primary color which are red, blue and yellow. You could also search it that by mixing these colors, you could get any color your want. Thats how color monitors work. Now in case of green color, it creates by mixing blue and yellow. When you are turning the screen adjustment screw, the red color plug will become lose, makes it appear green.
I hope your got the reason.

My sony kp-51ws500 tv screen would turn green and stay on for about 30 sec, then trun off. I adjusted the green screen button on the black box in the front of the tv....via info from this site. It fix the...

Doing the adjustment is not actually a fix, all that does is change the drive amount of the green CRT which allows the set to work but the 3 CRts will be out of balance so picture color will be affected. The only way to repair a bad CRT is to replace the CRT itself. You can get replacement Green CRT from www.tvrepairworld.com

Sony dvp-ns425 player has the word VIDEO in upper right corner appear and disappear every 20 seconds or so. It is in the same green block letters as all the menu/control titles so I know it is from the dvd...

That word Video in green color could be TV's on-screen display as DVP-NS425 has another kind of on-screen display that has track info, time info etc in display.
Please press Display on TV remote to turn off that green color Video on-screen display at top right corner.
Thanks.
