Question about Linksys RangePlus WRT100 Wireless Router

Trying to connect remote device to a LAN using the wrt100 RangePlus wireless router

    Thanks for that. First off all we're a small firm. I am basically trying to connect the handpunch which is 100 metres away from the office using two wrt100 RangePlus Wireless router, one connected to the handpunch and one to office LAN. I'm not sure how to configure both routers to send/receive signals.

What exactly do you want to do? Basically you can use VPN to access from a remote pc to the LAN.

Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on yourcomputer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down andput it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2encryption.
Apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

Nook E-Reader doesn't connect to WRT100.


If you have a wireless router and it is connected to the DSLor cable modem then - To connect to your wireless router, the router needsits wireless settings to be configured with the SSID, encryption key etc., alsothe wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers cancommunicate with your wireless router and access the Internet via the DSL or cable modem.

I cant get the driver to my Linksys WRT100 downloaded on Window7


Are you trying to set up the router.
You can do it manually without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem
Then you need to connect the computer to the router ad the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

I am not able to connect my WRT100 wireless router to my laptop, as start the installation process it stops because of static IP address on my laptop. How do i connect? Please help


On your laptop, go to Control Panel > Network Connections > Right-click Wireless Network Connection, Properties > Internet Protocol TCP/IP, Properties > Select Obtain IP Address Automatically and Obtain DNS Server Automatically > Click OK all the way out.

Unable to log on to network with Apple Laptop


The type of computer doesn't matter, as the protocols are the same. Check your router's dhcp settings, as you may have it set to allow too few IPs to be distributed.
