A fuse protects your wire circuits because it is the weakest link. It keeps the circuit from over heating and fire. It burns out rapidly and safely before damage occurs. The first thing that you need to do is find out why the fuse blew. If its the main cable from the battery, you may need more than one fuse in order to tell what the problem is. You need to put a new fuse with every thing turned off, then start loading the system by turning things on one at a time. You need to physically look at all the wires under the hood and under the dash before you start turning stuff in and putting the fuse in.

Car wont start or anything after i installed an atfermarket stereo in my 2002 dodge neon and a fuse went bad but idk what fues or if its something else please help?

You must be sure when you select the live wire it is the correct one. Some "Live" checked wires changes polarity as soon as the car is started causing some fuses to blow. I think this is what happened to you and the main fuse is blown. Disconnect the radio and check all the fuses on the vehicle. Replace the one that are bad and the vehicle should be running again. Let a auto electrician selct the "correct" live wire for you.

I have a 2007 saturn ion.....I have no power steering, like alot of other post i have seen. I called saturn of bowling green, and of course warranty out @ 36,000 miles. Just my luck i have 42,000 miles on...

My Saturn has electronic power steering. Mine wasn't working at all because the fuses were blown. Check and see if yours has any blown fuses. (Mine were in the engine compartment. Two 30 or 40 amp)
