Question about Philips WACS700 Shelf System

1 Answer

Not reading some Cds

Over half of my cds come up as unknown, when I rip them.
I now have a long list of unknown CDs recorded on my WACS700.
I have the same problem in my car but can manually type in a title for each CD.
Is this possible with my Phillips CD?
Thanks Paul

You have an RCA 5 disc CD changer and it reads CDS. Then what is the fault?

Cd is stuck and showing that no cd is in unit

This fault can be caused by a second CD having been forced into the drive somehow. Shine a torch into the slot to check. A friend of mine had 3 CDs stuffed into the drive by his toddler! Unfortunately the drive did not survive.

After rec. cds to hard drive when I re start the system they arent there any more.? Help

what you need to do in a situation like this is to create another folder and then copy the recorded Cd's into the folder or cut and paste it.

Create the folder on you desktop, then after copying or cutting the recorded songs from its location to the created folder, restart your system and check if it will disappear again this time.

Also the recorded Cd's my have hidden somewhere in your hard drive. You can use the search on your system to locate the location.

Also take record of the remaining disk space of your hard drive so that you will know if the recorded Cd's has been deleted or hidden somewhere in your hard drive.

I wish you the best of luck,

Take care.

Insert disk indicator problem

Unit may have defective disk motor or optical pick-up. There is a chance the lens on pick-up may need cleanning. If you can reach it, try gently useing a q-tip in a circular motion on lens

Wacs 700 will not connect to computer and keeps saying music centre could not be found

If you have set up the station to receive signals exactly as the manual instructs, try establishing the connection in a different room. I found that the original room that I tried to set the station up in had too much interference. Loaded fine in the kitchen.

DVD display indicates "no disc"

Try a lens cleaner cd, as when the lens gets misaligned or if it's quite old, it will find it harder to read a DVD as the tracks are much closer together than that of a VCD as they are cd's and their tracks are wider apart and easier to read.
