Question about Compaq Computers & Internet
My Compaq laptop won't keep charging and I just bought a new cord. It has worked fine, and now it will only charge if I mess with the cord at the port. Sometimes the port light is on, sometimes not. It seems as though it is a little loose in there now and it's not making proper contact. Is there a way to tighten this thing up?
You might be able to replace the jack easily enough. I am not sure what model you have, but some Compaq laptops have modular jacks, meaning they can be replaced instead of having to be repaired or having to replace the entire motherboard. I would recommend you do this or have someone qualified to do this beucase if you leave it as-is then you might burn something out on your Motherboard.
