the answer is super simple..
causes spark misfire. (and scanned PCM see P03xx errors DTC)

loss of engine horse power. and wasted fuel.
or engine dead. fully and no spark at ALL.

why worry it at all.??? if scans are clean this is it if CKP does not trip CKP errors DTC

if spark dies the PCM cuts all fueling dead( no crash&burns)

the car needs service,
all you can do is check fuses.
then scan for DTC errors with OBD2 scan tool, P07xx orP17xx errors are trans errors.

the steps to fix or diagnoise any trans fills volumes,
but the maker of your car has book called FSM factory service manual and you can read the A/T pages, on what to do.

U sure its the sensor..dont guess. Cud b an egr valve or vacuum leak. Car wudnt run at all w a bad cranksensor. Git car scand to target area

if you are under the car it should be on the firewall side. It is black piece or a light grey color.

P0725 NISSAN - Engine Speed Signal

The P0725 Codes is triggered when TCM does not receive the engine speed signal from ECM.

The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the engine speed through the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor with the engine running, and send signal to the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

Symptoms:
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)

Possible causes:
- Open or shorted CKP sensor circuit condition
- Poor CKP sensor electrical connection
- Check communication error between the ECM and TCM
- Failed CKP Sensor

Possible solution:
Very common problem with Nissan vehicles, usually replacing the Crankshaft Position sensor takes care of the problem.
