Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Sometime overnight my Sony Vaio desktop rebooted and now it is in a continuous loop of rebooting and will display the Windows startup screen, but goes no further. It will just start over. I tried pressing F8 at startup to attempt Safe Mode, but it seems the keyboard is unresponsive.. the lights for Num Lock, Caps Lock, etc.. just continuously flicker. Desktop model: VGC-RB34G OS: Windows XP (sp 2, I think?)

    Issue is resolved.

There was no cd in the drive..

I had to unplug and reconnect the keyboard to get it to work which allowed me to F8 into startup options (whatever you call it). Selecting Safe Mode would still cause it to reboot, so I had to disable the auto restart option on failure in the F8 options to allow it to stop on the error it was encountering:

    c0000135 {unable to locate component}

Application failed to start because USER32.dll was not found. Re-install may fix this problem.

Since I did not have a system recovery disk, a further web search led me to a solution of building a linux recovery disk specifically designed to look for the USER32.dll file and copy back to where it needed to be. Once this was done, the computer booted successfully.

Make sure there is no CD in the CD drive.
Change the Boot device priority to Hard drive.

How do i reboot my sony vaio computer model number pcv 9913 i dont have operating disk

You reboot it by simply unplugging it from the mains and restarting it.
You reinstall Windows using a generic Windows disk and the key on the label on the case. You will have to add the drivers yourself later.

Sony vaio pcv-w30 full display on screen

Download the video driver for your laptop:

Go to this page:

Go to the video section and download the file to the desktop. Then go ahead and install it and after the laptop reboots at that point you should be able to display with the whole screen.

Vaio pcv-Rz221 I cannot boot the pc. It initiates the startup and then restarts. Can I download a sony reboot disk?

Sir,
No use of sony reboot disk in your problem.

Your RAM has gone faulty now thats why its rebooting again & again.

So just replace it new one and then you won't any such problem.

PowerPoint and Projector (InFocus LP640) Incompatability

I am unsure of this from your post, but don't try to hook the projector up to the laptop while either one of them is on. Power both the laptop and the projector off, hook up the projector to the laptop, then power on the projector first then the laptop. If you are already doing this, I apologize for stating the obvious.
