I got my rival ice cream maker from my mom and went to make ice for my child and the sale in it had ate through the metal pot that the ice cream is made in we were so disapointed.

If this product is still within a year old, you would need to call the Rival company to get a replacement canister. They do have replacement vessels and have them readily available. You can find their website at www.rivalproducts.com. The 1-800 number for the customer service line is available also on this site.
