Question about Amana Portable Air Conditioner
I have a new unit and just plugged in for the first time. It's cooling beautifully, but is extrememly noisey even after running for 20 minutes. It's so noisey that I can't have a converstion with anyone in the room and can't even hear my telephone ring. I this normal for the first run and if so, how long can expect this noise to continue?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Contact the dealer you bought it from.
For warranty information, please call HSN.com Customer Service at 800.933.2887 (8 am-1 am ET)
If it is out of warranty, and you can get hold of the parts, then as long as you feel confident to change the parts yourself, go ahead. It will only be a case of removing the case and maybe some covers inside to get at the broken components. There is NO rocket science used in the design or building of these things.
All you will need is a small to medium sized phillips head screwdriver and maybe a 7 or 8mm spanner. You may need to cut a couple of cable ties. Make sure you note how the components fit and also the route of the cables as they will need to be routed the same way when you replace the case.
You need to discover what caused the fan to break in the first place. In my experience this cause is normally someone poking something into the grill...
