A good clean using the cleaning cards should help.
how far does the card get into the printer?
Does it pick a card from the hopper OK?
You can replace the top rollers easily yourself, but the others would need to be done by an authorised reseller

The rubber roller that is in the hopper (pick roller) needs to be replaced. Most likely all rollers in the printer need to be replaced. Contact TulsaBiz.net or MIdWestIDSolutions.com You can buy parts from them or send in for repair.

Your roller(s) are worn and failing to properly grip the paper to feed it.
The printer technician's solution to this problem is to order a "Roller Kit" for the printer,
and replace all the rollers - when one starts to lose its grip, they all will soon go - since
all wear at about the same rate.
This happens after a printer has printed alot of pages - the definition of "alot" varies from
printer to printer.

Datacard sp35 - cleaned it several times, First it will tell me the card is lost, we fish the card out, next it will tell me that the printer ribbon is broken. it is not broken, we have wasted so much...

Sounds like the rollers are going bad. From time to time the rollers on this device can definitely go bad. That's the reason you have to keep fishing for your cards. Try replacing the rollers on the device.
It may require some technical knowledge.
Please feel free to ask any further questions.

Cards not feeding through on SP35

You will need to replace the Pick Roller (the first roller you see from the card hopper.
You most probably have a smooth roller and the new type are ribbed. The printer has to be dismantled to replace the roller. Suggest you contact your local reseller.

Hello,

The Laserjet 4+ that you have to pull the paper out needs a preventative maintenance roller kit. The rubber output rollers get hard and will not grab the paper and advance it thru the printer. The kits include all of the pickup rollers and the output rollers. We sell the kits for $25.00 plus shipping and it includes a copy of the service manual.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

You have to change the roller just inside the picker roller.

Sometimes the glue that holds the "cleanig roller" loosen from the pin.
Sorry, bad english... :D

Laserjet 1320 will not pick paper

Paper misfeeds and failure to pickup the paper are both common symptoms of a worn pickup roller. This roller is on the bottom of the printer as shown in the attached picture.

With use the rubber tire gets smooth and can't grip the paper enough to pick it up and push it into the printer. The roller kit is easy to install yourself and will get the printer back going as good as new. You can get the roller kit here:

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.
