MGR5750ADW Gas Range locked

Is their a reset option to unlock the over door using the control panel? Our range is locked after cleaning the oven and won't unlock?

I have uplugged the power without success. I also cannot get the clean cycle to turn on. The bake cycle causes the lock light indicator to flash for a few seconds but then goes back to a solid light indicating locked. If I hold down the Clean control button for about 30 seconds I get an F3 display. But, without a user manual I'm not sure what this means.
    Thanks

Most likely the door latch mechanism has failed, but try this.
Start another clean cycle and see if you hear the lock motor cycle. After the clean cycle starts, cancel it and see if the latch moves to the open position.
You may also try turning the power off a couple minutes and back on. The oven should go through a cycle when power is turned back on and cycle the latch motor.
Post back and let me know what happens. The lock can be rotated manually if you have to by removing the side panel.
Thanks/Mike

    Correction.

When I saw the model number I thought you had the Gemini range with double ovens. I see you have the single oven. The top will have to be removed to get to the latch, not the side panel.

    Thanks/Mike

If my memory serves, the F3 is for a stuck key pad on this range, which fits with it coming on if you hold the button down.

There should be a tech sheet on the back of the oven that tells what the codes stand for and how to test the components.

To raise the top you will have to remove the surface burners. They either twist and come out or they have screws holding them to the top.

After you get the burners off, there are two spring clips between the top and the front panel that you depress to release the top from the cabinet.

F3: Open or shorted sensor. The cancel key resets
the control and stops the alarm. If fault is still present it will reactivate the alarm
when the cook mode is chosen. Correction: Check sensor and wiring for shorted or open
    circuit.

How to Unlock Locked Oven Door on Kenmore Range Hunker

Quoting from the link shown:
Step 1 Read the display on the electronic oven controls, where the clock and timer normally appear. If the display reads "CLN" while the "Door Locked" light is on, the Kenmore range is in self-clean mode. When the Kenmore range is in self-clean mode, you must stop the cleaning process before the door will unlock.
Step 2 Stop the self-cleaning process by pressing and holding the "Stop/Clear" button for three seconds. The oven lock should disengage after three seconds. In some cases, a malfunction between the control panel and the locking mechanism prevents the door from unlocking.
Step 3 Hold the light switch for several seconds if the "Stop/Clear" button fails to unlock the range door. Engaging the light switch for several seconds resets the entire locking mechanism and overrides the "Stop/Clear" button.

Gas oven wil not unlock after cleaning

Hello. I may be able to assist you. There are several possible fixes to your problem. Hopefully one of these will work for you. The oven door lock needs approximately 1 hour to cool down before the oven door can be opened after a self cleaning cycle has finished. If the lock does not open after the oven has cooled down, you can try....1) Unplugging the range or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the range back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and try moving the door lock lever or opening the door. 2) Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever or opening the door.

Most ranges today use 3 different types of door locks...one is a solenoid controlled lock ( you hear a loud buzz noise when setting or unlocking the lock and has a arm that you must move to set the lock )...another is a heat sensitive lock ( has a arm that you must move to lock and un-lock, makes no noises and has a spring that slowly moves to lock the door will the oven is heating up )...Some locks are motorized ( no handle to move, the motor locks the door by it's self when you set the range for self clean )... If the motorized and heat sensitive locks fails to open after the self clean cycle, you must access the lock and move it yourself to open the door. On the free standing ranges, most times you must lift the cook top to access the lock mechanism. On built in ovens, the oven must be pulled out to remove the top access panel to get at the lock mechanism. Some build in ovens can have the control console removed to access the lock system. On the heat sensitivestyle of lock, there are no electrical parts to operate the lock, usually you will need to replace the lock. On the motorized style of lock, you will have to use a ohm/volt meter to test why the motor will not work. On the solenoid style of lock, the solenoid is often mounted on the back of the range and can be accessed by removing the rear panel, some may be mounted at the front, such as in a built in oven. The failure of the solenoid style of lock is normally caused by a bad lock solenoid. In order to get your door open, you must operate the door latch mechanism manually. Unplug or remove power from the range. Take the rear cover off the range. Locate the door latch assembly and operate it manually and open your door. Then check continuity of the solenoid. Some of the latch assemblies have micro switches to supply power also. You may need to check them. You should be able to get the door open and use your range until you can get a tech to repair if you can not repair yourself.

Oven door locks and un locks code F90

The F90 fault indicates that the maximum time allowed for oven door unlock was exceeded. The control attempted to unlock the door. The door lock motor or mechanism failed to unlock the door within the maximum amount of time it is allowed to be energized by the control board.

It is unlikely that you will be able to reset this fault code. You can try to completely disconnect electrical power and leave it off for 5 minutes. After reconnecting power, the fault code will probably reappear since the control will still detect that the oven door is locked. The only way to clear the fault code is to disassemble the range and repair or reset the oven door lock assembly. You will need a service technician to complete this repair.

Tappan gas oven dooor won't unlock

We were able to solve the problem by accident. As I think I mentioned the door must of locked when we were cleaning the control panel. Anyway the door locked and the burners would not ignite. The door was open so you were not able to shut it to try and clear it. I searched the owners manual, there were no solutions as to how to reset the Range. I even checked the manufacture's web site. I got down to inspect the door and ran my hand along the inside edge of the oven and there was a button on a spring. I pushed on it and there was a hum and the latch opened and the Range must have reset. It's working perfect now.

Unplug the range for about 3 hours then plug in and listen for lock mech. then gently pull the door open. Then if your oven doesn't work replace the oven sensor. These tend to go out after a few years when people run the self clean.
