My answer is for the GAS version of CVG4380 downdraft cook top.

If you have an electric version then please let me know.

CVG4380 GAS downdraft unit has safety device call APPLIANCE PRESSURE REGULATOR.

In even the gas get shut off and restart. The natural gas may not able to purge though the regulator.

This unit is directly next to the grease container and blower.

There is a wiring box for the controls.......I will not recommend servicing it.

Good luck

Are the burner ports clogged?
If burner ports are clogged, refer to your Use and Care Guide for sealed surface burners cleaning recommendations. If you do not have your Use and Care Guide, find it online by entering your product model number in the search tool below.
Clean the ports with a straight pin. Do not reassemble caps on burners while wet. Replace the burner cap, making sure the alignment pins are properly aligned with the burner cap. Do all burners fail to light?
Check to see if the cooktop is connected to the gas supply and the gas shutoff is turned on.
Do you hear a sparking sound?
If there are sparking sounds, the igniter may not be sparking to the burner cap. Turn off the appliance and check to make sure the caps are set on the correct burner base properly. Do not switch the caps from one burner to another as they may not spark properly. Each burner has its own individual cap.
Is the burner head positioned properly?
Cap must be seated on the burner base to light and perform properly. Reinstall the burner cap, making sure the alignment pins are properly aligned with the burner cap.
I have given you a bunch of things to do, one of these should solve your problem. Mostly sounds like burner caps need to be cleaned, gas causes build up of carbon.

You have checked everything to the igniter, no spark, has to be igniter relay. Replace and you should have ignition. You pretty much solved this yourself with alittle help, good job.

Burner will not light: There are a few things to check for. Make sure the electrode ( the small metal piece that the spark comes off from ) is clean and the holes in the burner are clean, use a pin or paper clip to clean out the burner holes and NOT a tooth pick as these can break off and make things worse. Example of a burner. The next thing to check for are theignition switches under the surface control knobs, the switches can twist and break and keep the spark module on and the spark keeps "clicking" even when the burner is light. If every thing looks good, you may have a bad spark module, replace it. Sometimes cleaning can get moisture into the surface switches, try drying them with an hair dryer to see of this will help. click the link directly Repair and checking tips for surface burners. Please do rate the solution. Thank you for using fixya.keep updated. thanks.

I have a 6 burner range top. When I turn on 5 of the six all 6 spark as they should and the correct one lights. When I turn on the left front knob none of them spark and it will not light, but gas does...

Hi,

The problem is the burners switch the the single burners has failed, this will cause is not to fire the module and ignite the burner. I would replace just that burner switch to correct the problem. When you call for parts, make sure you have the complete model number and possible color of that burner switch needed. They make or have available switch that are sold by color, so color may be needed for this model.

I hope this helps.

None of the burners igniter clicks so none of the burners will light. Could the spark module have gone bad?

That is definitely a possibility. If you can find the module you could disconnect the wire going to the switches (at the valves) and then hook up the module to 120 volts. Careful! Don't get shocked.

GE Profile glass top cooktop- burners do not heat, indicator lights do work

If none of the burners are working but the pilot light does you are having a power problem and only getting 120 volts to it. Check the breakers to make sure they are on correctly. 240 volts is needed to operate the cooktop. Hope this helps. Rick

Can't turn on KECC508 cooktop I didn't buy it and it is in the house and the light in the middle to power all burners off is lit.

The middle light is the lock. You must hold it down for at least 7 seconds to unlock it, then the middle light will go off. Your hands can't be wet, or none of the buttons on mine work right.

Maytag MEC5430 cooktop burner indicator lights not working

If indicator lights are all that wont work there is a "P" terminal on the surface switches (unless they are controled through a board). The P is for Pilot And 1 side usually the "P" terminal of the switch is allowing the light to recieve the power signal that the element is recieving from the switch. The other side of the pilot light(s) will all be wired together at a "common" pont.
My guess is that if you have individual piolet lights this common point is not tied in to the circut now. 1 wire off or loose and none of the lights work. However it should be simple to trace back to this point and effect repair to it.

GE Monogram ZGU48N6D- None of the Ignitors "click"

We just had that problem - the igniter is electric - if none of the burners are "clicking" it could be a power problem. unplug the stove and check whether the outlet is working. In our case, the outlet the stove is plugged into has a "GFI outlet with a reset button. So we reset the outlet and that fixed the problem.

If I'm not mistaken, these dacor cooktops have an automatic re-ignition (meaning if the flame goes out, it will just relight it without you having to do it) If none of your burners will light, you probably have a bad spark ignition module. These are somewhat hard to change, as you have to take all the burners off and disconnect the spark wires and take the whole top of the cooktop off to get to the inner workings. Also, to get these burner bases off it takes a special tool by dacor, AND you usually have to replace all the burner seals once you take them apart.Your other, simpler option is to unplug the cooktop and plug a lamp or something in to the outlet the cooktop is using, just to make sure you have power. Just cause the breaker doesn't look like it's tripped, doesn't mean it isn't bad and the outlet is dead. Hope this helps!
