Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies
My hp 7760 says print cartridge cradle is stuck and there is no jam does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks
I'm no expert, but try the easiest solution first. This happened to my hp 1215. The problem for me was one of the covers over the ink cartridges itself that snaps the cartridge into place had a little play in it and stuck up a bit higher than the other one. When the cradle moved all the way to the left, that cover rubbed on the outer covering of the printer. I simply taped it down and solved the problem!
I hope it's this easy for you!

Try turning off the printer, disconnect the USB cable, uninstall the printer drivers in "Add and Remove Programs", reinstall the drivers and reconnect the printer. Printer problems are more prolific than any other problem with any other computer accessory. Drivers become corrupt for no apparent reason other than Windows feels like doing it. If this doesn't cure the problem then I would suggest GENTLY trying to dislodge the cartridge cradle just a little bit (don't force it side to side). It shouldn't stick but who knows. If it does move OK again, listen for any odd sounds coming from the printer. My guess is still a software/driver problem.
