I turned the bottom spinner a few times pretty hard and tried it again.

Now the bottom spinner works as well as the top spinner. The middle

spinner still does not work at all. Water is coming out of the holes in the

middle spinner but does not spin.

Spun the bottom spinner a few times by hand and now that is working ok. Top spinner

is okay as well. The middle spinner has water coming out of the holes but is still not

    spinning.

That did the trick. Thank you very much.

Hi, Look at the spray arm and see if there is something pluggin the ports on the ends. If these are plugged, the spray arm will not rotate. Since the upper arm is ok, I think you wil find them plugged.
Please let me know if this helps you or if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

If both the bottom sprayarm and the middle sprayarm are not spinning, take the plastic tube off the back wall and clean it out, you have something blocking the water flow

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Fixya.com

From the description provided I would recomend to perform the forllowing troubleshooting steps to fix the issue. Water level on this unit should be up to the bottom of the heating element (using the element as a face of a clock, use the 9 & 3 positions) when the water shuts off if filling correctly. When the unit is done filling and you get the pause prior to the motor kicking on, look at the float switch on the left hand side behind the kick plate. The float is down to fill and will rise allowing the plunger of the switch to extend and stop the fill. If you are not getting a pause between fill and motor operation, you might not be filling with enough water. If the float is still down, add until it raises and breaks the contacts. Shut the door and start the unit, do the arms now move? If so, could be clogged screens in the valve

The Filter is in the sump. Remove the lower arm, remove the torx screws holding the top part of the pump housing on. This will expose a micro-mesh filter that could be clogged to the point you are starving the pump of water. This will allow water to come out the arms but not enough pressure to move them. If they are clogged, inspect the back wash arm, that is the 4 armed spinner in the middle of the filter. The arms have verticle slots in the end of them that spray water out to clean the filter. If they have become clogged, clean them and the filter.

Good Luck.

God Bless.

Dishwasher will fill and empty but no water coming through the spinners

It would help if you provide the model number.
Usually the problem is with the wash distributor circuit. The water alternates between bottom and top spinners (wash arms). The distributor may be faulty assuming the arms are clean and you have checked this. Some models use the same pump for wash and drain using impeller. In that case the problem could be the impeller is clogged and not allowing water to get in the arms. See this diagram.

Model number will help identify the part.

You wil have to excuse my lack of knowledge. I am not getting an error code so I don't know what the problem is. The washer has 3 spinners. The top and bottom spinner are spraying water fine, the middle...

Take out the top rack and inspect the pipe nipple that the rack slides onto. Make sure that there isn't any debris stuck in it. Next pull the wash arm in question off (it just pulls off) check for debris (toothpicks are the biggest culprits and food particles (sometimes glass so be careful). You should find something in there. The wash pipe goes from the bottom to the top of the unit, if the bottom one works and the top one works then your clog HAS to be in the middle wash arm. The water clearly makes from point A to point C so C has to have an obstruction or the wash arm is sticking and not spinning freely. Try to spin it my have but really inspect it for debris. Good Luck.

Top shelf not cleaning

Hi, the most likely cause of this is the sump is plugged under the screen area, I have put some instructions together to show how to clean out down there. let me know if it helps.

First, confirm that the holes are not blocked on these arms. (I did not want to assume you have done this.)

Then check the impeller on top of the motor stem for being loose or worn/damaged - to rule the impeller out. If it is fine, then the motor is failing and too weak to drive the spray arms.
To answer your question, I think the answer is "They don't make them like they used too!"

Clean on bottom rack but dirty on top

Clean the filter at the bottom of the tub. If it is dirty or clogged the water pressure may not be strong enough to spin the top arm. Make sure also the there is nothing blocking the holes of the spinner arm. If the filter and arm are clear then the pump may be failing.

Hi,
Remove each spray arm and check it is clear of food particlesat the jets. The next problem may occour at the rotating joint . If the seal is not good, you can loose a lot of water out of this point.. If both of these seem reasonable, then yes the circulation pump may need checking. First check for any debris in the impeller, and that it is not worn or damaged, and that it is attached to the motor or the coupling is still good. If these are ok, then the motors='s capacitor may be faulty - causing it to buzz more than normal usually, and it looses efficiency, getting hot in the process.

One of these should solve the problem !

Top rack not cleaning, possibly spinner not spinning?

Try twirling the spinner by hand to see if it is binding. If it looks ok then there could be something plugging the water passage to the spinner. If you have access to a water hose you could run water into that verticle passage pipe and see if there is an obstruction. If so it can be taken apart for cleaning.

Wash Arms not spinning --Dishes not clean

Without the model number of your Maytag number, I can not determine if when you order a wash pump motor you also get the impeller.
Sounds like you are on the right path to getting your dishwasher to wash dishes again.
Oh, while you have the dishwasher open, check that the heating element has not failed using a Multimeter.

Good Luck!

GE Washing Machine

I dont kow what you mean about a spinner? If your talking about the part in the middle thats caled a agitator. If your washer is the model with the plastic tub the agitator pulls up from the bottom. And I have to tell you it is not a easy thing to pull out. The hard gritty substance could be from your water. You might want to have your water checked. Hope this helps you.
