My Samsung LCD has white spots on the screen. The tiny spots seem to be increasing in numbers. I am outside my warranty. Is this going to cost a lot. It is a 43in screen.

You most probably have a bad DMD Chip. It can be replaced independently from the DMD bd. You could also have a bad DMD bd. The DMD bd controls the DMD Chip. If your set is inside the one year warranty period, I suggest you call 1-800-Samsung to set up a warranty service call.

White spots on screen

The DLP chip is failing, causing white dots to be displayed. This is a common problem for Samsung DLP tv's. Depending on who repairs the unit, you can expect to pay around $300.00 just for the chip, plus 1-2 hours labor.

White spot on screen

Sounds like you are describing stuck/dead pixel.

There is no fix, it is a Pixel gone out in display panel, good chance it is just stuck and will right itself but sadly sometimes they dont and the only fix is to replace the entire display panel
Manufactures warrant such defects different depending on amount of dead pixels on screen is considered faulty, ie 3 pixels grouped or 5 separate ones .

Samsung HL-P5063W audio is fine, no picture. Initially made a loud buzzing sound, so we replaced the color wheel. No more buzzing sound, audio is fine, but screen is various shades of white. Left TV on for...

Hi,Yes your problem sounds like the DMD board. This is how it works: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dlp1.htm Basically the light of the lamp goes through a tunnel that carries a color wheel(rotating disc with a gamma of colors that creates the colors on your tv)then the light of the lamp goes through the DMD board which is a chip composed of around 2 million pixels that creates the images and colors. When it starts to fail it will create black bars, pixelation, color distortion or white dots on screens. Here's a video that will help you find where the DMd chip is located : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jr_9A5Xd2Q Have a blessed one!

Is coming alot of bright spot all over the screm like a little point isee the channels whith the spot

These are failing pixels in the matrix. Eventually the screen will not be viewable.
The screen is made of millions of points of l;ight called pixels They turn on and off to create what you see on the screen. When they fail they become minute white spots.

The TV has a black spot on the screen, apparently a pixel loss.

Your symptoms sounds like a one of the mirrors on your imaging chip is not working.

There is not a lot you can do about the pixel being out unless you want to replace the imager circuit board. These are expensive to replace.

As far as more showing up in the future, it is hard to say, you may not get anymore failing
