Black and yellow ink not printing

My printer was working fine one day and the next the black and yellow ink aren't printing. I cleaned the nozzles, put in new black and yellow ink cartridges, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for the printer. Nothing is working. Is there anything I can do besides buying a new printer?

I finally got the link to download and opened the utilities. I tried stuff in the utilities and my printer still isn't printing black or yellow ink. I think it's died.

This is what worked (so far) with my Dellblack and yellow ink not printing - 1.gif AIO A940 printer1.gif that wouldn't print black ink.

It worked for awhile when I chose photo/glossy paper, but then it quit printing again (see below).

I got it to print, again, by putting SEVERAL papers in the feeder (instead of just 1) - there is a sensor that is supposed to automatically detect paper type, and it might not be working right, especially with one or only a couple of sheets.

I have a 4 month old epson sx215 printer... everything was working fine two days ago and today i went to print some very important documents and my black ink wont work... the inks are all full, I have done...

you have two option, can do nozzle check and head clean , many time can repeat, there is any improvement you can continue the same will work
2.change print head(better go for new printer, you should understand one thing, Epson print head along with printer so, you have to take printout at least every day one copy,if you are using HP inkjet printer, this kind of problem you can solve every easily, just change cartridge only, because hp cartridge along with print head not with printer.

No yellow printing from my color cartridges

The nozzles that the yellow ink flows thru are clogged. Try the print head cleaning utility. Right click on the printer, select PROPERTIES, select the MAINTENANCE TAB and press the PRINTHEAD CLEANING button. If that doesnt work, turn off printer, open front cover and move the ink carriage toward the center. You should see a small rectangular cotton sponge pad thats covered with old inks. Put several drops of Windex on it so that its nicely soaked and return ink carriage. Turn on printer and run the print head cleaning utility again. Then let it sit overnight. The next day, try printing a test page.

I have an Epson 4000 which has a clogged nozzle

I have an Epson 4000 which I started using new in Sept 2004 and my magenta is clogged too. I've gone through 2 maintenance tanks trying to clear it, (and LOTS of ink), but the magenta is still blocked. I even tried this: trick but it didn't seem to work. I hope you have better luck.

Epson 9600 suddendly stopped printing yellow

It's NOT a cartridge if this works... I had a similar problem with a 9600 I bought on eBay that had been inoperable over 18 months. Three colors would NOT clear up after multiple power cleanings. Epson support politely solved the issue at no charge on the phone... he had me drop a few drops of warm water on the pad the printhead rests on when not printing. You have to move the printhead to the left to do that by moving up the little lever near the cutter. The pad is easier to reach with a long eye dropper. I used very warm water- not boiling. I replaced the printhead over the warm water pad for an hour. Then I repeated the process and let it be for another 60 minutes. Then I did a nozzle check and what was gummed up yellow, cyan, and magenta nozzles became clear and it's worked fine since. Good luck!

Cannot get yellow to print

I had the same problem with the yellow cartridge. Yellow quit printing, put in a new yellow and still would not print yellow. I had a help file, don't know where I got it, but it suggested replacing the black ink cartridge also, even though the black wasn't low yet. Replaced the black, ran a few nozzle cleans and everything worked fine. Don't know why. Try it
