Question about KitchenAid KSCS25FKSS Side by Side Refrigerator
I have the the KSRX25FTSS01 and the ice maker door won't stay closed, and now this little hinge fell out. I can't figure out how to get the face plate off to reach it to see it better, does anyone know how to take it off with out breaking it?
Snaps off at the bottom first remove the tray (just pulls out) and then pull down and out at the bottom of the face plate the bigger problem is the chute door that fell off it has a metal pin on top, that holds the door, the door swings on that pin, it goes to two plastic loops or hooks molded to the back black panel up until recently the only way to fix that was to replace the freezer door but whirlpool (kitchenaid) found it to expensive to keep replacing doors for such a minor break so they came out with a kit I don't have the part # but call kitchenaid I'm sure they will send u one. it comes with good instructions.

It just un-snaps. Pry gently along the top or bottom edge and work it off with a plastic putty knife. Snaps pretty good and sounds like it is breaking.
