First, try a soft reset. Do this by pressing the center button and the up volume button simultaneously and try turning it on. If that does not work for you, you will need to get a micro sd card (it can be a dummy) and insert it into the slot on the side of the mp3 player. If you do not have one, you can use one of the round edges of a paper clip (and be careful) to get it to come on. When you put either in, it should come on automatically, but if not, just press the power button. This should work.

It won't start now!

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted. http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool. - Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds) - Slide the hold switch into "hold" position. - Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer. Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted. Best of Luck.
