Lg gas dryer lp conversion

does the cap have a hole in the middle on the underside and is there a white plastic duhicky in there that is the convertion tool you want the letters lp letters to be up

Kits should be available at Sears.com, need to be a certified technician to change it. Involves changing igniter, burner scoop, and adjusting air shutters.

LP has reversed threads which screw on the valve

A dryer is a dryer. Most cases they all work the same. You will need to get an LP conversion kit for that model to complete the task.

You can get the conversion kit. It will tell you how to convert the dryer. I recommend that you get a technician to do it though.

Turn the change screw down until the brass nut bottoms out on the valve body. It is glued in place exactly where the change screw needs to stop when converting to LP. Hope this helps.

Converting your Natural Gas Dryer to Lp is taking it from a lower BTU gas "Natural" to a higher BTU "LP" value. The orfice on a LP gas valve is smaller because you dont need as much gas to make the same amount of heat. make sure you change the orifice. The little plug goes in the regulator of the gas valve, changing the valve from a low gas pressure Natural to a Higher Pressure LP.

If the kit doesnt look right, did you get the correct one?

Maybe you should call you LP provider they can do the conversion for you.

How do you get the front off a LG gas dryer

Mr. D, make sure you have a little time, you have to remove a few things. 1. Remove the 3 screws in back which hold the top on. Slide the top back and lift off. 2. Remove the two screws on each end of the control panel frame. (inside). Disconnect the control panel harness, pull up and foward, place aside. Remove the 4 screws on the top of the front cover, disconnect the harness for the door switch and it should pull foward. Now I believe you can get at the gas valve on the lower right.
