E13 with new cartridge installed?

IFIs can not determine the remaining amount of ink (set of used or refilled cartridge). Replace the toner cartridge or disable the tracking of ink levels.

To disable tracking of ink levels - press and hold for more than five seconds, the button Ā«Resume / CancelĀ» (in the user documentation, this button is called the Stop / Reset and is denoted by a triangle in a circle)

When I replenish the ink, the red light still blinks and says that the ink is out. How can I fix this?

Epson ink cartridges have a chip in them that keeps track of the ink, this prevents you from refilling them, this software will allow you to "freeze" the levels, but, you cant reset the levels, also, you can use the hot-swap function to change cartridges

With new cartridge indicates low ink level,

The ink level gauge may not work properly with refilled cartridges. Because of this, you might get low ink message after refilling. To install the refilled cartridge you might need to override the ink level gauge. Overriding the ink level gauge disables the printer’s ink level tracking feature, but allows you to use refilled cartridges. To override the ink level gauge, please check your printer reference guide. After disabling the ink level tracking feature you should check the ink level visually and as soon as the ink level gets low you need to refill the cartridge. You do not want to try to print with an empty cartridge. Trying to print with an empty cartridge may damage your print-heads.

otherwise you will have to replace the cartridge .

Canon Pixma MX310 rubber track pulling ink fell off

there is no rubber track that pulls the ink cartridges, i think you are talking about the timing **** that sits directly behind the print head, you need to remove the covers so you can get to the carriage unit and the timing **** is just hooked on one end and on the other it is help on with a spring, its not that hard to put bak on once you work out how to get all the covers off

Print quality

I have seen where the melted ink overflows and makes the other ink in that color get stuck. This makes it so the ink in that color does not get close enough to the heater to melt the ink sticks. You can try giving it a push from the top of the stack and see if you can get it to break free a bit. You can try this on whichever colors this is happening to. Be very careful not to try and run it too much because the printhead with no ink coming to it can ruin the printhead. When this happened to me however, I had to replace the ink loading station. You might have to call a Xerox certified tech to come out.
Hope this helps

E3 Error

MP160 PIXMA paper feed jam E3 error. I completely solved this on my Canon MP160 printer but it is a common problem and the fix may work for others such as MP130 MP140 MP145 MP150 MP170 or MP180. With the problem I had, the printer would make the usual motor whirring noises but would not feed the paper. The usual c-clunk sound that indicated the feed roller has been engaged was not there. The screen warning said to remove jammed paper and the printer showed an E3 error.

The problem was caused by the ink cartridge carrier becoming stcky on its track and not fully returning to the rest position on the right side (as viewed from the front). The fix involved taking the printer apart and lubricating the cartridge carrier track and the ramps that lift the cradle that rises to cover the printheads. Unfortunately you have to dismantle the printer and separate the scanner unit to get to the lubrication points. Its not a quick fix.

When you have the printer apart you will see a prominent white lever held by a coiled spring just behind the rest position of the ink cartridge carrier. The lever is actuated by the ink cartridge carrier when it moves to the right. If the lever is not actuated, the motor drive will never engage the large grey feed roller and the paper in the hopper cannot be fed into the printer. Make sure to also put some lube onto the lever at the point where it is struck by the ink cartridge carrier.

Canon Pixma MP 800 printing Issue (heavy black line on opposite side of print page

I have exactly the same problem with a Canon Pixma MP800, I have cleaned the rollers, changed the ink cartridges and reset the printer. It will print a few pages cleanly then dump black ink on the roller which leaves a heavy black line on the back of the page. It fades away after printing about 10 pages and then a few pages later appears again. The printer is two years old and it looks as if I must buy another. Should I buy another Canon?

I455 Canon printer

your problem is due to gummed ink jets.. take out your ink cartriage and clean the bottom of it. make sure you avoid cotton or anything that would leave lint behind. also clean your shuttle. some shuttles you can pivot off from the track to clean and others you just can clean the tracks. make sure there is no ink gummed up on the tracks or the bottom of your cartriage
